Faculty and staff drive everything that makes CSU Pueblo exceptional. Your research breakthroughs, innovative teaching methods, and behind the scenes work that keeps campus running smoothly. The Division of IT exists to make sure technology amplifies your impact instead of slowing you down.

This semester brings important changes that affect how you work, teach, and protect university data. Here’s what you need to know right now.

Complete Your Annual Cybersecurity Training

Cyberattacks and phishing scams are on the rise. All faculty, staff, and researchers are required to complete annual cybersecurity training.

  • How to complete it: Log in to Litmos using your NetID and password.
  • Deadline: December 31, 2025. We encourage you to complete your training for the 2025 cycle as soon as possible.
  • More resources: Visit CSU System IT: Cybersecurity for tips and tools to stay secure.

Email Forwarding Policy Changes

Starting October 1, 2025, CSU will no longer allow automatic forwarding of all university emails to external accounts (e.g., forwarding all Outlook emails to a personal Gmail account).

  • Why this matters: This change helps protect sensitive university data.
  • What to do: Review your email settings and remove any rules that forward all messages externally.

Device & Software Updates

To keep your devices secure and compatible with university systems, please review the following updates:

  • Windows 10 devices: All CSU-owned devices running Windows 10 must be upgraded to Windows 11 by October 14, 2025. Your IT team is coordinating these upgrades—no action is needed unless contacted.
  • Unsupported devices for Duo: Starting January 12, 2026, devices running on the following systems will no longer be support for Duo two factor authentication:
  • Windows 7 or 8
  • Outdated versions of macOS, iOS, or Android

If you use one of these devices to authenticate, please plan to upgrade or switch to a supported device before that date.
