Editing Policy & House Style
Your submission may be edited for length or content. Not all submissions will be selected for inclusion in WolfPack Weekly. Applause items and research briefs should be no longer than 200 words and may be edited to meet length and style.
House style highlights:
- We use down-style (sentence case) in headlines; words after the first are lowercase unless they are proper nouns.
- We do not use the Oxford (serial) comma, per AP style.
- We don’t use ampersands unless they are part of an official name.
- We use the title “Dr.” only for medical doctors and veterinarians.
- We capitalize a person’s title only when it appears directly before their name.
Guidelines for Businesses & Advertising
On-campus businesses may be eligible to submit items to WolfPack Weekly (e.g., the CSU Pueblo Bookstore and dining/catering venues located in the Occhiato Student Center). Items should be relevant to the campus community and adhere to university policies.
