The unmistakable sound of Big Band swing is coming to CSU Pueblo this month when The World-Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra takes the stage at Hoag Hall on Thursday, February 26.

The performance starts at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. for the two-hour show that promises to transport audiences to the golden age of American music.

Under the direction of Music Director Erik Stabnau, the orchestra continues to keep Glenn Miller’s legendary arrangements alive more than eight decades after they first captivated audiences. The ensemble has performed at venues across the country, including the Kennedy Center, proving that the timeless appeal of swing music transcends generations.

Featured vocalist Jenny Swoish will join the orchestra, bringing her voice to classic numbers that defined an era. The show is open to all ages, making it a rare opportunity for families to experience live Big Band music together.

The 610-seat Hoag Recital Hall provides an ideal setting for the performance. One of the finest acoustically designed venues in the Southern Colorado region, Hoag Hall features customized lighting and sound systems that will showcase the orchestra’s intricate arrangements and powerful brass sections. The venue’s acoustic design means every note, from the softest clarinet melody to the full ensemble’s swing, will resonate clearly throughout the hall.

Glenn Miller’s influence on American music remains profound.
