Colorado State University Pueblo is moving forward with Fortnight 2026 programming, with a key athletics facility celebration planned for this week.
Schedule Update: The ThunderBowl Turf Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place as scheduled on Tuesday, August 18 at 6:00 p.m. at ThunderBowl.

The ceremony celebrates the completion of the new turf installation and upgrades to the university’s athletic facility. The celebration marks a significant investment in campus infrastructure that supports student athletes and the broader university community.
Fortnight 2026 represents the university’s commitment to creating a welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff at the start of the academic year. The two-week event series combines Charge Week (August 16-21), which focuses on faculty and staff engagement, with Welcome Week (August 22-29), which centers on student experiences.

Other Charge Week highlights include the State of the University Address on Wednesday, August 19, where President Rhonda Epper and Provost Gail Mackin share goals and aspirations for the 2026/2027 academic year. The address honors faculty and staff who achieved tenure.
The week concludes with the New Student Convocation on Friday, August 21, at Massari Arena. Faculty and staff will process with new students in formal attire to welcome the newest Thunderwolves, concluding with a photo opportunity at the Fountain.
Welcome Week runs August 22 through August 29 and includes student-focused programming such as the Pack Kick-Off, Student Affairs Open House, Bike Downtown Pueblo, and the CSU Pueblo Pack Family Picnic. The week concludes with activities at Pueblo Reservoir and participation in the Colorado State Fair Parade on Saturday, August 29.
