PUEBLO, Colo. ()

Release

Colorado State University Pueblo will rededicate its Southeast Asia Memorial at 11 a.m. Nov. 10. Nine names from the Vietnam War have been added to the memorial.

The rededication gives Pueblo and southern Colorado residents a public place to honor Vietnam War veterans and the families who lost them. The Military & Veteran Success Center organizes Veterans Week, which runs Nov. 9 through 13.

Former Pueblo County District Attorney Jeff Chostner will serve as master of ceremonies. The Sankey sisters will sing the national anthem, and the East High School Army ROTC color guard will present the colors. Kristyn White Davis, vice president of enrollment management, marketing and extended studies, will speak on behalf of the university.

Retired Air Force Gen. Ralph “Ed” Eberhart will deliver the keynote address. He commanded North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command. After the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, President George W. Bush asked him to stand up Northern Command. He is a command pilot with more than 5,000 flight hours, including more than 300 combat missions. His assignments include commander of U.S. Forces Japan, vice chief of staff of the U.S. Air Force, and commander of U.S. Space Command.
