CSU Pueblo’s NCL CyberWolves Red Team placed first in the nation out of more than 400 university and college teams competing in the National Cyber League Fall 2025 competition. The announcement came at the NCL Awards Ceremony on Nov. 14.

The CyberWolves edged out the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, College of William and Mary, UC Berkeley, and San Diego State University to claim the top spot. The National Cyber League competition draws over 10,000 students annually from more than 500 colleges and universities across the country.

The CSU Pueblo Red Team members are Jeffrey Lange, Kevin Shu, William Scott, Wesley Carlstrom, and Adam Stanifer.

The Cyber Power Rankings are created by Cyber Skyline in partnership with the National Cyber League. The competition tests students’ skills in cybersecurity challenges and problem-solving against teams from institutions with significantly larger enrollments and funding.

Roberto Mejias and James “Jim” Quintana coach the CyberWolves team.
